These custom made timing sprockets will certainly make your race car faster, but you can't sell them if customers don't see them. Putting a black coated sprocket and a polished metal one together make for a lighting nightmare. By using several black cards, some aluminum foil panels I was able to put highlights in just the right places. For this I used a 4x5 Calumet view camera, 240mm Caltar lens and Kodak Pro 100 film. The view camera movements allowed me to keep the engraved letters sharp while blowing everything else out of focus.
