Here
is a 1:1 shot of an old penny. Here is the same penny using a simple trick to
get extreme close up shots using two normal zoom lenses that most
of us already own. I put my 75-300 zoom on the camera and attached
a reversed 35-80 zoom to the front of it. I used duct tape to
attach the two lenses front to front so I was actually aiming
the rear element of the 35-80 zoom at the penny. To increase
magnification, use longer focal lengths on the lens attached to
the camera and shorter shorter lengths on the second lens. If
you find this type of photography interesting, you can replace
my duct tape with specifically made reversal rings that will allow
you to attach the second lens to the first like you would a filter. |
